a Large “Chinese taste” Kangxi period cup and saucer, marked
a Good and quite rare large Kangxi cup and saucer decorated in the Chinese taste. The decoration consists of stylized tulips on 12 panels. Both cup and saucer are marked with a symbolic sealmark in double circle. The upper rims are finished with a continuous branch of artemisia leaves. At the backside of the saucer branches of flowering peony and peach.
Size: Saucer; 13 cm diameter and 2,5 cm in height; cup; 8,5 cm diameter and 5 cm in height.
Condition: Cup; a chip and a firing fault at the bottom rim. Saucer; Perfect. Both no hairline and no restorations.
Age: Later 17th/early 18th C, KangXi period, Qing Dynasty.
